Hello!
Cannot believe I have not updated this since April. Goodness, where has the time gone?
We've celebrated many birthdays (Little Bit's first; Doodle Bug's 13th; Bubby Boy's 7th; Ryan's 35th and Little Man's 10th).
What a wonderful year it's been, too! Not only in all of the blessed birthday celebrations, but just a good year in general.
Doodle Bug began helping out in the church nursery this September. While she says it's a lot of work running after 5-15 toddlers on any given Sunday morning, she's really enjoying it and is signed up to help out with the next semester as well. Makes my heart so proud!!
The school year is going well for the kids. We started to hit a little slump in October, but thankfully had a nice Fall Break scheduled that allowed us to recharge our batteries. We spent lots of time watching movies (Star Wars and Gremlins especially), playing board games, and playing video games. It was great!
Our science lessons are going well. We covered Simples Machines in August/September and are wrapping up our Earth unit now - it took longer than I had planned it would take - there's so much to learn!
They've had a fun time learning how scientists determine the age of fossils and the age of the Earth, learning how various landforms are made, discovering the various layers in the Earth, and more. It's been great!
We're all looking forward to a nice Thanksgiving weekend with lots of good food and good memories to be made.
Hoping and praying you all will have a blessed Thanksgiving, and if I don't update before then, a Merry Christmas as well.
